Privacy Policy
My Study Plan is operated by Reefwatch. This policy explains what happens to information when you use mystudyplan.org and its planned successor, mystudyplan.org. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
The short version
Your subjects, dates and generated plan stay in your browser. We do not require an account and we do not receive a copy of your timetable. We use privacy-focused website analytics to understand visits and performance, and we use limited advertising code to help fund the free planner.
Information stored on your device
The planner uses browser local storage to remember your generated plan and your dyslexia-friendly font preference. This information remains on your device until you clear your browser data, replace the saved plan or use a browser setting that removes it. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to view it.
Analytics and technical information
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure information such as page views, approximate visitor counts, referring websites, countries, device types and page performance. Cloudflare states that this service does not collect or use visitors' personal data and does not use cookies for its analytics measurements.
After creating a plan, you may optionally tap an icon to tell us where you found the site. Your answer is saved in your browser so it is counted once. The tap loads a small, non-indexed measurement page for the selected source, which appears as an aggregated page view in Cloudflare Web Analytics.
The planner also loads anonymous, non-indexed measurement pages when a visitor starts or completes the planner and selects a PDF or calendar export. These measurements do not include subjects, dates, availability or the generated study plan.
Cloudflare also processes limited technical data, which may include IP addresses and request information, to deliver the site, prevent abuse and maintain security. This processing is necessary for the reliable and secure operation of the website.
Calendar and PDF exports
Calendar files and print-to-PDF output are created on your device. They can contain the subject names, dates and session times you entered. Review exported files before sharing them or importing them into a shared calendar.
Cookies and advertising
We use Google AdSense to support the free site. AdSense may use cookies, device identifiers or similar technologies to deliver, measure and limit ads, depending on visitor location, browser settings and Google consent requirements. Ads are intended to stay outside the planner questions, calendar output, form fields and main study plan content.
Where legally required, Google or the site may ask for advertising consent before personalised advertising or related storage is used. Visitors can decline personalised advertising without losing access to the planner. You can also control cookies through your browser settings and Google ad settings.
Children and students
The planner is designed to be usable by students, but it is not intended for entering sensitive personal information. Do not use full names, health information, school login details or private notes as subject names. Younger users should ask a parent or guardian for help if they are unsure about sharing or exporting a plan.
Sharing and international processing
We do not sell personal information. Website delivery and analytics information is processed by Cloudflare as our service provider and may be handled in countries where Cloudflare operates, subject to its contractual and legal safeguards. Exported files are only shared when you choose to download, import or send them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability. Because planner data stays on your device, you can usually delete it directly by clearing this site's browser storage. You may also contact us, and you may complain to the relevant data protection authority.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site or its providers change. The effective date at the top will show the latest revision.
